Touch sampling rate is listed up to 288 Hz. Brightness typical is around 700 nits and can reach up to about 850 nits in high-brightness mode. The display is certified for low blue light, flicker-free and circadian-friendly viewing.

Performance (Hardware & Software)

Under the hood the phone uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 chipset built on a 6-nm process, offering octa-core CPU configuration and Adreno GPU. With 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage (UFS 2.2) in this variant, it offers good day-to-day multitasking and app use. Virtual RAM extension is supported, allowing the system to utilise additional storage as RAM when needed. It ships with Android 15 through HyperOS, offering modern features and long-term software support.

Memory & Storage

This variant includes 128 GB of built-in storage, giving ample room for apps, games, photos and media. There is support for storage expansion via a microSD card in many regions, allowing further storage growth if needed.

Camera System

On the rear, the Redmi 15 features a 50-megapixel main camera with f/1.8 aperture, supported by an auxiliary lens (for depth or assist) in the dual-camera system. Features include HDR, panorama, and night mode shooting. Video recording from the rear camera supports up to 1080p at 30 fps.
On the front, the selfie camera is 8 megapixels, capable of 1080p video at 30 fps and equipped with HDR and beauty modes. The camera setup is solid for the price segment and everyday use though obviously not flagship-level.

Battery & Charging

The smartphone is powered by a 7,000 mAh typical capacity battery, designed for long endurance usage (multi-day support under light use). It supports 33 W wired fast charging to top up quickly. Additionally, it supports up to 18 W reverse wired charging, meaning it can act as a power bank to charge other devices in some scenarios.

Connectivity & Additional Features

The Redmi 15 supports dual-SIM (Nano + Nano) with full 4G LTE support in many regions. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi dual-band, Bluetooth, GPS/GLONASS/BeiDou, USB-C port, 3.5 mm headphone jack in many markets, IR blaster and NFC in selected regions. Security includes the side-mounted fingerprint sensor and face unlock. Build-wise the device has IP64 certification for splash and dust resistance.

Summary

The Redmi 15 (6 GB + 128 GB) stands out in the budget smartphone category by combining a large Full HD display with a high refresh rate, a very large battery, long-term software support, and generous storage. Its strengths include excellent battery life, smooth display, and modern software. Trade-offs are that it remains in the value segment (so camera performance, ultra-low light, premium materials may be less than flagship devices), and network/variant features may differ by region.
